

Well traveled Sanja continued acting in Slovenian theaters eventually moving to Los Angeles in 2011 where she attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts; receiving The Charles Jehlinger Award for Best Graduate Actress in 2013.

Returning to Slovenia four years later, Sanja began filming, ‘Tall Tales: Now You are, Now You’re Gone’ with Samir Bajrić, a film quoted by Noah Charney to be “At the highest level of contemporary Slovene cinema” and widely received as pioneering a new age of home grown film for her native country.
Sanja is completing her PhD in comparative literature and film studies; on how film has influenced literature in the last fifty years and subsequently was honored with an invitation to attend the prestigious 21st World congress of the International Comparative Literature Association (ICLA 2016) in Vienna. Invited both as a lecturer and member of the panel for her theme Novelization, chameleon of literature and film in the context of new media culture. Sanja can be seen in Channel 5’s ‘Borderline’.

Sanja was born on 21st April, 1984 in Celje, Slovenia, former Yugoslavia. Sanja has performed in various television, radio and theater shows since she was 13 years old. She studied Comparative Literature and Politics at Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana.
